James McAvoy doesn't know what's happening with the Wanted sequel.

The Scottish actor, who starred in Wanted alongside Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman, said he's "waiting" to see what film bosses come up with.

"I really don't know, I'm still waiting to see - I keep hearing it is happening, then it's not," he said at the London premiere of his new film, The Last Station.

He admitted he would like to reprise his role as assassin Wesley Gibson.

"I read a version of the script a while ago and I don't know what's happening now, so we'll wait and see. They want to make it and it made a lot of money so they'll be happy to make it, but it doesn't seem to be materialising just yet - I'm sure it will."

James stars in The Last Station - an adaptation of the Jay Parini novel - with pregnant wife Anne-Marie Duff and Dame Helen Mirren. His other films - Atonement and The Last King Of Scotland - were also adapted from books.

"It's pure luck that I end up in these things," he said, laughing.

"I don't seek them out, it's just by chance the stuff I respond to has happened to be adapted material. I should not do another adapted film again now because I've done my quota. Everyone says, 'You like doing adaptations!' But it's just the way it happens, it's not planned."

Couldn't help posting this - I totally LOVED Wanted, I saw it 4 times. I want them to resurrect Fox and do parts 2 to 9. I'd go. If she's in them anyway.

I'm totally opposed to this... I think bringing her back would be silly, but what about a prequel about Fox rising through the ranks? Nod
