Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie turn jewellery designers

Not only do Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie act, fight for social justice and raise a family, they have now added designing to their portfolio.

The duo have teamed up with luxury brand Asprey to design a limited edition range of fine jewellery.

Named the Protector collection, it includes a selection of snake-inspired pieces made in silver, gold and precious stones.

Angelina revealed that the idea came during her first pregnancy when she was given a snake ring to guard her and the unborn child.

Now something of a family symbol, the snake ring represents protection and fertility.

Containing double-twisted serpent bracelets, baby spoons and tooth boxes, all proceeds from the collection will be donated to Angelina's charity-Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.
